According to research conducted recently, the amount of people who use their mobile phone to surf the Internet has increased by a massive 40% this year.

The study which was conducted by Nokia Siemens Networks' Mobile Broadband revealed many other things too.
At least a one third of those people who have and use mobile broadband, 31% to be exact, wanted to use it even more that they do already. And one quarter of people without mobile broadband claimed that they wished to get mobile broadband.
The researchers’s results also show that 80% of mobile broadband users access the Internet from home with their mobile broadband connection. The research also revealed that users wanted the Internet to be available on the go and dislike being restricted to just a PC. According to the research, only a small number of 27% apparently used a PC or laptop to surf the internet.
Head of West & South Europe, Nokia Siemens Networks, Beppe Donagemma, said: "The study highlights that demand for mobile broadband is rapidly increasing due to its potential to deliver the connected experience people want, wherever they are."
The Internet, since its debut in the 1990s, has become an essential part of our lives. In the UK, 30.1 million or 60% of adults access the web on a daily basis which is nearly double the number of people surfing the web in the year 2006.
Mobile broadband users from the UK, France Germany and Spain were questioned and 58% wished for a faster service and 30% were willing to even pay a premium for it.
